Maya Cinemas was founded in 2000 with the goal of developing, building, owning, and operating modern, first-run megaplex movie theaters in underserved, family-oriented, Latino-majority communities.

Moctesuma Esparza, the company’s founder, combines his lifelong love of film with his vast experience as a film producer, pioneer, and entertainment business developer in his pursuit of establishing cornerstone movie theaters in communities that lack first-run film entertainment options.
Moctesuma’s vision was realized in 2005 with the opening of the first Maya Cinema in Salinas, CA; today, this vision has expanded to Bakersfield, Pittsburg, Fresno, and Delano, CA. Maya Cinemas North Las Vegas opened its doors in January 2019, bringing state-of-the-art moviegoing to an area of Las Vegas experiencing rapid growth of new business. Maya is looking forward to exciting new projects and continued growth.

HOW CAN YOU REPLACE A STOLEN OR LOST GIFT CARD?

For lost or stolen gift cards please go to your nearest cinema with your original receipt. It can only be replaced with the original receipt.

WHAT YOU CAN DO IF YOU HAVE A GIFT CARD WITHOUT A PIN?

If you have a gift card without a PIN, you cannot use it online but you can use it at a store. You are unable to check the balance of your gift card without a PIN but you can operate it for a new card with a PIN at one of the Maya Cinemas.
